Enterprise IT Market Update: June 2026

Monthly Update
June 2026

Published June 10, 2026  |  Used Servers • Storage • Maintenance • EOL/EOSL Tracker

Things are moving fast out there right now. AI is reshaping what people buy, supply chains are still a mess, and a big wave of gear is rolling toward end-of-support. If you’re in the market to buy or sell used enterprise equipment, or you’ve got an OEM maintenance contract coming up for renewal and you’re wondering if there’s a better path, this is your monthly rundown.

🖥️ New Product Releases

The big guys have been busy. Here’s what’s actually shipping or officially on the calendar for 2026 in production compute and storage.

⚠️ EOL / EOS / EOSL Tracker

If your shop is running any of these platforms, keep an eye on these dates. Orange means it’s happening in the next 90 days and you really should have a plan by now. Dates that already passed are included for context since support windows can linger and contracts get renewed out of habit.

Vendor Product Milestone Date
NetApp ONTAP 9.12.1 EOS Feb 28, 2026 (passed)
Cisco UCS B200 M6 Blade Server EOL End-of-Sale Oct 2025 • Support winding down
Cisco UCS C-Series & UCSX Accessories (select) EOL Last order dates: July 15, 2026
Cisco UCS & HCI Accessories (select) EOL April 30, 2026 (passed)
NetApp FAS 8200 EOSL Nov 30, 2026
NetApp AFF A300 EOSL Nov 30, 2026
HPE ProLiant Gen10 Series EOL EOL Oct 2024 • OEM support through 2029
HPE ProLiant Gen9 Series EOS Expected 2025–2026 • Watch for official announcement

Running any of the above? You have real options when OEM support ends. Third-party maintenance, a move to quality used hardware, or selling the legacy gear before the value drops. The one thing you probably shouldn’t do is just auto-renew an OEM contract on equipment that’s already past its prime.

What’s Driving the Market Right Now

AI buildout is eating new hardware faster than manufacturers can produce it. Lead times are long, DRAM prices are up close to 95% from last year, and OEMs have been quietly raising support contract costs 15 to 25 percent a year. More IT managers are actually running the math on used gear now and a lot of them are surprised by what they find.

Storage is a different story. Server revenue is up 61% year over year while storage only grew about 2%. Everyone is pouring money into compute for AI and pushing off storage refreshes. That’s created some real buying opportunities on the used storage side if you know where to look.

The TPM Case Is Getting Stronger

Third-party maintenance used to be the conversation nobody wanted to have. That’s changed. The TPM market is heading toward $14.5 billion this year for a reason. Companies are getting the same service levels at 30 to 50 percent less than OEM renewal rates, and they’re not getting pushed into hardware refreshes they don’t actually need yet.

  • ✓  TPM typically costs 30 to 50% less than OEM maintenance renewals
  • ✓  No forced hardware refresh timelines tied to OEM support windows
  • ✓  Extends the life of reliable hardware that still has years of useful life left
  • ✓  Pairs well with a hybrid strategy: TPM on stable gear, new purchases where it counts
  • ✓  Strong option for Gen9/Gen10 HPE, UCS M5/M6, and legacy NetApp FAS platforms
