Why Companies in LA Choose Spectra:

Parts on hand before you ever need them
When we take your system under contract, we stock and hold the critical spares for it. They never get re-sold.
Engineers on-call around the clock
You get a Spectra engineer on the line, not a call center routing you to low-level engineers.
On-site coverage across SoCal
We have actual field presence in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and the Inland Empire. Not a dispatch center pointing someone in your direction.
Contracts built around your situation
We don’t sell you a package. We look at your hardware, your uptime requirements, and your budget, and build something that fits.
40+ years in this industry
One of the longest-running IT maintenance and resale operations in the country. Our clients stay with us.

Common Questions

What’s the difference between third-party maintenance and OEM support?

Instead of going back to the manufacturer for support, you work with an independent provider  (Spectra in this case) who handles break-fix, parts, and preventive maintenance. It typically costs 40–80% less than OEM contracts, and is especially valuable once your hardware hits end-of-service-life and the OEM walks away from it entirely.

Can you maintain equipment the OEM no longer supports?

That’s one of our core strengths. Legacy Sun Oracle SPARC, older HPE ProLiant generations, IBM DS8000, EMC VMAX;  we support a lot of hardware that OEMs stopped covering years ago. If it’s still running well, there’s no reason to force a refresh.

How fast can you get someone on-site in Los Angeles?

We offer 4-hour on-site response options for the LA metro, Orange County, and San Diego. Our engineers and parts are staged for SoCal – not routed through a national dispatch center that has to figure out who’s closest.

We run equipment from multiple vendors. Can you handle all of it?

Yes, and that’s where a single-provider contract makes the most sense. Mixed environments are common in SoCal – especially in media, healthcare, and finance. We put everything under one agreement, which simplifies your escalation paths and cuts down on administrative overhead.
