The IBM z14 (3906) retains the massive throughput capabilities of its predecessors. However, the z14 was engineered specifically to address the global need for data protection.

This system introduces “Pervasive Encryption,” allowing organizations to encrypt all data (at rest and in flight) without the performance penalties associated with software-based solutions.

With 10-core processor technology and a massive memory footprint, the z14 is the ideal platform for running secure, high-density private clouds and handling complex machine learning workloads directly at the data source.
