SOCAL IT Asset Disposition & Certified Data Destruction
Los Angeles, San diego & Orange County
Don’t pay someone to haul your old equipment away. In most cases, we’ll wipe the data and buy it from you.
Stop Trashing Valuable Equipment!
Hard drive shredding companies will charge you a fee to come out and destroy your data. That’s their business model, and fair enough. But most of the time, the servers, storage arrays, and networking gear they’re hauling away still have real market value.
Spectra has been in the IT remarketing business for over 40 years. We know what enterprise hardware is worth, and in most cases we can put money back in your pocket instead of sending you a bill.
Shredding hard drives is the same as shredding cash. Before you call a recycler, give us a call. You might be surprised what your old equipment is worth.
What We Handle
Whether you’re upgrading, relocating, downsizing, or closing up shop, we’ve seen it all. Every situation is a little different, so we put together a custom plan for each customer.
| Equipment Liquidation We assess your decommissioned servers, storage arrays, and networking gear and offer fair market value – paid directly to you. |
Certified Data Destruction DoD-compliant sanitization software wipes all data from hard drives and media before anything leaves your facility. Certificates of destruction provided. |
| On-Site Pickup We come to you. No need to coordinate freight or figure out how to move a full rack of equipment. |
Full Decommission Projects Shutting down a data center or entire office? We handle large-scale decommissions from start to finish. |
Data Security You Can Document
Data liability doesn’t end when equipment leaves your building – it ends when you can prove it’s been wiped. That’s why every drive and storage array we process goes through DoD-compliant sanitization, and we provide a certificate of destruction for your records.
This matters for HIPAA, SOX, PCI, and any other compliance requirement that governs how you retire hardware containing sensitive data.
All personal and proprietary data is sanitized using Department of Defense standard processes before any equipment is resold or recycled.
We provide written documentation for every drive and storage array processed; something you can keep on file for audits and compliance reviews.
HPE, IBM, NetApp, Dell EMC, Hitachi, Oracle: we handle all major enterprise platforms.
Who We Work With
We work with businesses of all sizes across Los Angeles and Orange County. The situation doesn’t need to be complicated, we’ve handled it before.
| Upgrading infrastructure Old gear comes out, new gear goes in. We buy what you’re replacing. |
Office relocation Moving and don’t want to take everything with you. We assess and pick up. |
| Data center decommission Full rack or full room: we’ve done large-scale cleanouts across SoCal. |
Downsizing or closing Whatever the reason, we make the equipment side of it easy to deal with. |
Common Questions
Will you actually pay me for old equipment?
In most cases, yes. Enterprise hardware holds value longer than people expect, especially servers and storage from HPE, Dell, IBM, NetApp, and EMC. The exact amount depends on age, condition, and configuration; but it’s always worth a conversation before you call a recycler.
What if some of it has no resale value?
We’ll still handle it. We work with responsible recycling channels for equipment that’s past its useful life, and we process data destruction on everything regardless of whether it has resale value.
How does the data wiping work?
We use DoD-compliant sanitization software that overwrites all data on hard drives and storage media. Every drive gets a certificate of destruction you can keep for your compliance records. Nothing gets resold or recycled until it’s been fully processed.
Do you come to us, or do we ship the equipment?
We come to you. For anything in Los Angeles, San Diego or Orange County, we handle pickup directly. For larger decommission projects, we coordinate logistics from start to finish.
What brands and equipment types do you take?
Servers, storage arrays, networking gear — HPE, Dell, IBM, NetApp, EMC, Hitachi, Cisco, Juniper, Sun Oracle, and more. If it’s enterprise IT equipment, we’ve probably dealt with it. If you’re not sure, just ask.
