IBM z10 zSeries Servers
The IBM z10 EC (Machine Type 2097) supports up to 64 configurable cores in a single z/OS image and offers multiple models (E12, E26, E40, E56, E64) with flexible scaling. Cores can be designated as CPs, IFLs, zAAPs, zIIPs, ICFs, or SAPs, giving customers options to match their workloads. Models E54 and E64 support up to 1.5 TB of memory, three times more than the z9 EC, plus an additional 16 GB reserved for the Hardware System Area.
For performance, the z10 EC delivers high-speed InfiniBand connectivity for coupling, cryptography, I/O, and LAN requirements, supporting ESCON, FICON, FCP, and OSA-Express3 Gigabit/10 Gigabit Ethernet. Built for flexibility, power, and reliability, the z10 EC set a new benchmark for enterprise mainframes.
