HPE Announces DL360 G9 Servers End of Service Life

October 31, 2023

On or after this date, the HPE DL360 Gen 9 Server will no longer be supported by HPE. It is recommeded to check your HPE support portal for any firmware upgrades that may be pending.

What is the difference between end of service, and end of life?

End of life is only a withdrawal from sales and marketing. The Proliant Gen 9 have been withdrawn from sales (EOL) since 2018. The support typically extends for 5 years past the end of sale date.

What are Your Options if you own HP DL360 G9 Servers?

  1. Continue to stay with HP Support until it expires.
  2. Check out Third Party Support
  3. Upgrade and migrate

Just because HPE will not support them any longer, does not mean it is unsafe or risky to continue operating on these systems. The Proliant DL/G9 series are very well-designed and well-built systems.

SPECTRA has a complete inventory of HPE Server parts, along with escalation engineers with years of experience repairing and troubleshooting all Intel-based servers.
