Extreme Networks range of modular chassis based switches include Alpine® and BlackDiamond® access and core switches, which provide a scalable path for expansion. Adding additional ports or functionality is as simple as plugging in another module or moving to a larger chassis. Switching modules are universal and can be used interchangeably within product lines thereby reducing the need to stock a multitude of various spare cards.

Extreme Networks switches provide hardware features such as QOS, Access Control Lists, and statistic gathering at line rate speeds.
